RAYVILLE, LA : One killed, One injured in four vehicle wreck involving 3 18-wheelers and car on Tuesday evening July 8th 2014

State police say one person died and another injured in a four-vehicle wreck involving three 18-wheelers and a car on Interstate 20 about four miles east of Rayville.

Trooper Albert Paxton says one of the 18-wheelers was on westbound I-20 around 5:24 p.m. Tuesday when it struck another 18-wheeler.

The impact caused the rig to strike a car that was pushed into a third 18-wheeler. Two of the 18-wheelers and the car were stopped because of traffic congestion in a work zone.

Troopers have yet to identify the driver of the first big rig who died due to fire and damage from the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
