Boulder,CO: Boulder cyclist braked, skidded in collision with SUV on August, Friday 11th 2017
Colorado State Patrol investigators believe a 30-year-old cyclist braked and skidded before hitting a stopped SUV in a collision Friday in Boulder County.
Trooper Nate Reid said Guy Litt was riding his Fuji bicycle southbound on Olde Stage Road near Lee Hill Road when he braked and skidded into the northbound lane at about 6:10 p.m. Friday.
Reid said the bicycle rotated clockwise and hit the front of a Jeep Cherokee, which had stopped in the northbound lane.
Litt, of Boulder, was ejected from his bicycle and transported by ambulance to Boulder Community Health's Foothills Hospital with serious injuries. The hospital did not return a message regarding Litt's updated condition.
The Jeep's driver, Andrea Torkelson, 36, of Boulder, was not injured.
Reid said he did not know whether anyone was issued a citation.
