BEDFORD COUNTY, VA : At least 7 injured in crash near Stewartsville on Sunday, 30th June 2024

At least seven people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Hwy. 24 near Stewartsville in Bedford County.

A truck driver traveling east hydroplaned, crossed the median and struck another vehicle head-on, Virginia State Police said.

Five of the people involved have “severe” injuries, a state trooper said.

The driver of a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling west on Route 24, when the vehicle lost control, crossed the median, and struck a 2009 Subaru head on, according to police.
