PALMYRA, MO : Palmyra man injured in crash on February, Saturday 10th 2018
A Saturday morning crash north of Palmyra injured a Palmyra man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, pulling a trailer loaded with a Dodge Neon and driven by Scott L. Barker, 24, of Festus, was traveling north on U.S. 61, two miles north of Palmyra at 7 a.m. The patrol said the vehicle lost control, slid off the left side of the road and collided with a crossover, causing the Neon to come dislodged from the trailer and slide into the south lanes of U.S. 61. A 2008 Saturn Vue driven by Adams K. Waggoner, 50, of Palmyra, attempted to avoid the Neon, slid off the right side of the road and struck a field entrance, becoming airborne before coming to rest on its wheels, the patrol said.
Waggoner, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with minor injuries.
The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department.
