MISHAWAKA, IN : Wrong-way crash in Indiana kills 3 Painesville residents on Sunday, 17th June 2018

A car driving the wrong way on a toll road smashed into a vehicle carrying five Painesville, Ohio, residents, killing three of them, according to the Indiana State Patrol.

Four people have died overall as a result of the crash.

The crash occurred at about 7:32 p.m. Sunday on the Indiana Toll Road (Interstate 80), a news release from patrol says. Troopers received reports a Toyota was driving "erratically" while heading east when it suddenly turned around and began driving west in the eastbound lanes.
