GREAT FALLS , MT : 18 year old killed in Saturday morning crash on on Saturday, November 26th 2016
An 18-year-old woman from Hamilton was killed in a single-vehicle car wreck early Saturday morning on Interstate-90 in Mineral County. The Missoulian reports the 18-year-old male passenger survived and was taken to the hospital.
The Montana Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 3:10 a.m.
According to reports, the woman was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer traveling westbound when she swerved and over corrected near mile marker 62. The vehicle began to skid, rolled in the westbound lane, then crossed the median. The vehicle landed on the South side of the eastbound lane after rolling.
Both occupants were wearing seatbelts, but the female driver was partially ejected and pronounced dead on the scene. The male passenger, from superior, was taken to St. Patrick hospital.
The name of the victim has not been released, and the Montana Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.
