Port Clinton, OH : 1-vehicle crash kills woman in Ottawa County on Thursday, December 25, 2014

A woman was killed in a one-vehicle collision Thursday in Ottawa County’s Danbury Township.

The crash occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on Bayshore Road near State Road, troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Sandusky post said. They did not release the name of the victim pending notification of relatives.

Troopers said the woman was driving west on Bayshore when the car went off the north side of the road and into a ditch. It struck a utility pole, overturned, and landed on its left side.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt. The highway patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
