Easley, SC : 20-year-old man killed after car overturns crash on Friday October 16 2015
A 19-year-old woman has been charged with drunken driving after a wreck that killed a 20-year-old man, authorities said.Sydnee Jones was charged with felony DUI. She was denied bond.Officials said Jones was drunk when she went off Latham Road and hit a utility pole just before 1 a.m. Friday.
The passenger in the car, Garrison Bryce Freeman, 20, of Easley, died of blunt force trauma.
Freeman was wearing a seat belt, according to the coroner.
Jones was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash knocked down the bottom part of the power pole, splitting it in half.
Crews from Blue Ridge Electric Coop worked through the early morning Friday to replace the pole.
