Land O'Lakes man killed in motorcycle crash

A Land O'Lakes man was killed Thursday morning after, troopers say, the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the back of a car.Kevin Dean Slaunwhite, 51, was riding a Honda motorcycle in the westbound lane of State Road 52, east of Paradise Point Way, a Florida Highway Patrol report states.Ahead, Kelly Watts, 49, and Sidney Curry, 29, both from New York, were stopped at a red light in a Ford Taurus. Slaunwhite failed to stop, the report states. The motorcycle hit the back of the car and ejected him into the center median where he died from his injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
