Pike Twp., OH : Driver injured, 3 cows killed in Clark Co. crash on Thursday, October 27, 2016

State troopers said a man suffered minor injuries when he struck three cows in a roadway, killing all three.
Medics, deputies, and state troopers were dispatched to the 7900 block of Ballentine Pike around 2 a.m. on a reported single-vehicle crash.
Trooper Matt Walker of the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the driver was traveling east on Ballentine Pike when he hit three cows that had wandered in to the roadway.
The car continued into a field before it came to rest.
The driver, identified only as a 26-year-old man, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Walker said the three cows that were hit were killed.
At least ten more cows were wandering in the area and were rounded up with help of emergency crews and the owner of the livestock.
It was unknown if the owner of the cows would be cited in the incident.
