BROOKLYN, NY : 1 dead, 3 injured in fiery car crash in Brooklyn on Thursday, 17th August 2023

A woman was killed and several others are injured after a chaotic crash overnight in Downtown Brooklyn.

It happened at Court Street and Atlantic Avenue just before 3:30 a.m.

Two cars collided right down the street from Borough Hall, both ending up on opposite sides of Court Street.

A black Mercedes Benz sedan became engulfed in flames after the crash. The other, a white Honda, came to rest in front of the local Trader Joe's, with three victims trapped inside.

One victim in that vehicle, an 18-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
