PELHAM, MA : A motorcyclist was flown to a Boston hospital with serious injuries after he crash on Sunday, July 2, 2017

A motorcyclist was flown to a Boston hospital with serious injuries after he crashed Sunday morning at the intersection of Bridge and Old Bridge streets.

Mike Wagstaff, 60, of Pelham lost control of his Kawasaki Concourse motorcycle about 9:15 a.m. while traveling north on Bridge Street and went to the ground, traveling 80 feet from where he initially hit the pavement, police said.

Wagstaff was flown to Tufts Medical Center to be treated for severe head injuries. His medical condition was not released.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident but said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
