Fort Worth, TX : 2 children killed in Fort Worth crash after truck hydroplanes, pushes car into guardrail on Saturday, 8th December 2018
A 6-year-old and an 11-month-old were killed in a crash Saturday night after a pickup hydroplaned and pushed the car they were riding in into a guardrail in Fort Worth.
Police were called to the 3000 block of East Loop 820 Freeway at Craig Street about 7 p.m., where the driver of the Dodge Ram pickup had lost control and crashed into a Nissan Altima.
The car was pushed through a guardrail and rolled onto the service road, police said.
The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the two children who died as 6-year-old Trinity Atkins and 11-month-old Wesley Barrett. Both died at Cook Children's Medical Center, according to medical examiner's records.
The driver of the pickup was not identified, nor did police release information about his condition. A police spokesman said he was not aware of any charges filed against the man.
