ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN : 2 dead after crash involving car and semi on Thursday, 8th April 2021

Speed was said to be a factor in a crash that killed two people and critically injured a third.

A white Nissan Maxima slammed into the back of a semi-truck that was stopped at a red light on S.R. 2 at Quince about 7 a.m. Thursday.

All three occupants of the car were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Two male adult passengers from Chicago were pronounced dead at the scene while the male adult driver-from South Bend was in critical condition and rushed into surgery.

The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.
