Tampa , FL : Another Wrongway driver was arrested after Trafic accident at lower deck of the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway on Sunday , January , 11th 2014

Another wrong way driver was arrested in Hillsborough County early Sunday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers were investigating a traffic accident on the lower deck of the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway
at the 11 milepost shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. Tampa police officers were assisting FHP with a road closure while the investigation was underway.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Saturn driven by Carrington Carlyle Cox, 24, of Bradenton, failed to stop at the road closure. The Saturn made a U-turn before reaching the accident scene and started traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on the expressway.

State Trooper Rachel Palfy, who was assisting with the traffic crash investigation, pursued the Saturn and conducted a traffic stop on the expressway near the 11 milepost.

Cox was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the Hillsborough County Jail, where he refused to provide a breath sample.
