Franklin Township, NJ : 16-year-old dead, three other teens critically injured in crash on Brown Road in Franklin Township on Thursday, 27th September 2018

Four teenagers were involved in a single-vehicle crash on Brown Road in Franklin Township Thursday evening, leaving one dead and the other three seriously injured.

The crash occurred around 6:40 p.m.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Christian Bednarz, 18, of Grove City, was traveling south on Brown Road between Scioto Big Run Creek and Rock Creek Drive. Bednarz appears to have lost control of the vehicle, going off the left side of the road, striking a tree with the passenger side doors.

Three other teens were inside the vehicle at the time. They were identified as Ezekiel Atkinson, 18, of the West Side, and Casey McGruder, 16, and Cory McGruder, 16, both of Grove City.
