A third person has died following a head-on collision in Somervell County Tuesday night.
An 8-year-old grandson of Freda and James Williams died Wednesday morning at Cook Children’s Hospital from injuries sustained in the crash, said Texas Highway Patrol Staff Sergeant Dub Gillum.
Freda Williams, 59, of Glen Rose, and her 7-year-old grandson died at the scene, according to the Texas Highway Patrol.
Two other grandchildren, ages 11 and 13, and Freda’s husband were also injured in the accident.
Williams was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry west on 67 near County Road 317 when a Ford pickup truck crossed over the center line for an unknown reason and hit the Toyota head-on, according to troopers.
The driver of the pickup, a 22-year-old Cleburne man, had minor injuries. His passenger, a 23-year-old Godley man, was not injured.
