Mountain Home man is dead in a three vehicle crash in Baxter County

A Mountain Home man is dead following a three vehicle crash in Baxter County.

According to the Arkansas State Police crash report, Donald Freeman, 97, died Tuesday morning. Police state Freeman was attempting to turn right onto Arkansas Highway 5 from Cone Street when he pulled into the path of another vehicle driven by Gregory Thompson of Mountain Home.

After the first collision, Freeman's vehicle spun into the eastbound lane of Highway 5 and was then hit by a Freightliner.

Thompson was taken to a Baxter County hospital for his injuries. The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.
