Four people sustained possible injuries in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Osage County.
Cole Schaefers, 24, of Chandler, Okla., was driving a 2004 Dodge van northbound on US-75 highway near milepost 93, south of Burlington.
Schaefer’s van crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck a 2014 CMV FRHT driven by Mark King, 38, of Des Moines, Iowa. Schaefer’s van lost control and rolled into the ditch on the west side of the road, and King’s FRHT came to rest on the right shoulder, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.
Cole was taken to Coffey County Hospital with possible injuries. His passengers, Dievda J. Dash, 19, of Bartlesville, Okla., and Jackson Vehrs, 11 months, of Chandler, both were taken to the same hospital. Dash had injuries, and Vehrs was taken as a precaution because of possible injuries. All three were properly restrained.
King had possible injuries, but wasn’t taken to a hospital, according to the KHP log. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
