Colorado Springs, CO : Teen killed in crash on Garden of the Gods Road on Thursday evening, August 21, 2014

Westbound Garden of the Gods Road was closed east of Nevada Ave. Thursday evening because of a deadly crash. The accident happened between N. Nevada Ave. and Mark Dabling Blvd. Investigators say a Honda Accord was going eastbound on Garden of the Gods when it hit a curb and lost control. The car went across three lanes of traffic and over the median. The Honda was hit by a Chrysler Pacifica going westbound on Garden of the Gods. The right front passenger of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was cited for Careless Driving resulting in death. The driver of the Chrysler was not cited.
