Macon, GA : Warner Robins woman dies in a crash with semi truck on Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2016

A Warner Robins woman is dead after her car collided with a semitrailer truck Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Broadway in Macon.

The woman was at the wheel of a Chevrolet Malibu headed westbound on Eisenhower Parkway about 3:30 p.m. when the car collided in the intersection with a semitrailer truck that was traveling north on Broadway, Bibb County sheriff’s Lt. Randy Gonzalez said.

The victim’s identity was unavailable while efforts were being made to contact next of kin, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

The woman was pronounced dead in the emergency room at the Medical Center, Navicent Health, just after 4:30 p.m., Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley said.

The driver of the 2002 semitrailer truck, a 49-year-old Danville man, was not injured, Gonzalez said. About 125 gallons of fuel spilled in the wreck.

“Right now, we’re still determining ... who had the green light and who had the red light at the time,” Gonzalez said.
