Forest Grove, OR : Forest Grove Fire responds to another highway-closing crash on Sunday evening, July 5, 2015
A driver has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and two people were transported to hospital via ambulance after an auto wreck on Oregon 47 early Sunday evening near Forest Grove.
The information comes from a Twitter feed by Forest Grove Fire and Rescue, which earlier in the day responded to a similar incident on the Wilson River Highway (Oregon 6) near Glenwood.
The evening wreck temporarily closed Oregon 47 at Anderson Road, near Dilley, south of Forest Grove. Two cars were involved in the collision and one of them slammed into a parked sport utility vehicle, according to reports via Twitter.
Air ambulances were alerted but canceled. One person fled from the scene but was subsequently located. One of the drivers, a female, was arrested for DUI, according to the twitter feed of Forest Grove Fire.
The incident remains under investigation by the Oregon State Police and Washington County Sheriffs Department.
