Multiple crashes slow commute in Hillsborough
Hillsborough County commuters had a trying morning as multiple crashes thwarted traffic today.
Three traffic crashes slowed drivers and backed up traffic during the morning drive.
A vehicle and a tractor trailer crashed on westbound Interstate 75 near Interstate 4 in Seffner just after 6 a.m. That crash at one point pushed delays back for about 12 miles. At least one person in the crash was taken to an area hospital.
A short time later, a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle ejection caused backups on the entrance ramp from I-4 onto I-75.And, an injury accident occurred on southbound Interstate 275 near Bearss Avenue. That accident scene was quickly cleared and backups were minimal.
Officials have not released the extent of injuries in any of the crashes.
