Severn, MD : 27-year-old driver injured after his car struck a tractor-trailer in Severn on Thursday morning, March 19, 2015

A man was hospitalized after his car struck a tractor-trailer in Severn early Thursday morning.

When county firefighters responded to the area of Pioneer Drive and Deerfield Drive shortly after 12:30 a.m., they found a sedan had struck a parked tractor-trailer.

The 27-year-old driver of the sedan was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with possibly serious injuries, said county fire department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies.

No additional information on the crash was available.
