One person was killed when a motorcycle and tow truck collided head-on in Macon County on Wednesday night.
The motorcycle crossed over into the eastbound lanes, hitting the truck at the intersection of Galen and Coleytown roads around 6 p.m.
The motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old David Johnson of Lafayette, was killed.
The driver of the tow truck, 29-year-old John Russell, was not injured.
Speed played a factor in the collision, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report.
Criminal charges have not been filed, but Russell did receive a citation for a driver's license violation.
