BEAUFORT CO, SC : Troopers seeking suspect after fatal hit-and-run in Beaufort on Tuesday, November 22nd 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking information on a fatal hit and run accident that occurred in Beaufort County, around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Troopers say a bicyclist was traveling west on US-278 near Burnt Church Road when he was struck and killed from behind by an unknown suspect.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black Acura TL (2005-2006). It is believed to have damage on the right front bumper/headlight area and is missing the passenger side mirror.
