Riverview, FL : One killed, one injured in early morning Riverview crash on May 25th 2014

One person was killed and another injured early Saturday in a one-vehicle crash on Bloomingdale Ave. in Riverview.

Heather L. Hinson, a 22-year-old Dover resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Parker Hagin of Valrico, suffered minor injuries.

The incident occurred just after 3 a.m. near the intersection of Cade Lane.

According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report Hagin was traveling west in his 2006 Ford F-350 pick-up truck when he lost control of the vehicle and veered into the median. The truck rotated and the passenger side of the vehicle struck an oak tree.

Hinson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was riding in the passenger seat. Hagin was not wearing a seatbelt either the report states.

At this time investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. The official cause of the incident is not yet known. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
