One dead after semi-truck accident in Bloomfield Minnesota

A fatal accident involving a semi-truck killed one person Thursday night.The accident happened just before 9:00 p.m. in Bloomfield Township near Telegraph and Square Lake Rd.Bloomfield Township Police confirm with 7 Action News the truck, which was heading SB on Telegraph, collided with a person in the road.The person was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.The driver of the truck was not injured.Police say alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the collision.The name of the person is being held pending identification and notification of the family.The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.If you witnessed the crash, or know anything about the accident, you're asked to call the Traffic Investigation Unit at (248) 433-7749.
