CROSS COUNTY, AR : Central Arkansas woman killed in Cross County crash on Saturday, 15th October 2016

A Central Arkansas woman is dead after rear-ending a forklift on the highway.

It happened around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday.

According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary, 27-year-old Rebecca Shireman of Sherwood was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition north on Highway 1, about a half mile south of Wynne, when she rear-ended a Case forklift driven by 29-year-old David Tover of Cardwell.

Shireman was killed in the crash. Tover was taken to Crossridge Community Hospital in Wynne with unknown injuries.

The report said that the road was dry and weather conditions were clear at the time of the crash.
