Edgeley, ND : Aberdeen woman injured in crash near Edgeley at the U.S. Highway 281 on Saturday, 4th August 2018
A South Dakota woman was injured in a Saturday afternoon crash near Edgeley, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 2:08 p.m. when a 2006 Ford F350 pulling a livestock trailer westbound on a gravel township road about 1.5 miles south of Edgeley, failed to obey a stop sign at the U.S. Highway 281 intersection. The truck was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Impala that was southbound on U.S. Highway 281, the patrol said.The pickup and trailer came to rest with the trailer partially blocking the southbound lane. The Impala came to rest in the ditch.
The Impala driver, Jean Hanson, 85, Aberdeen, S.D., was extricated from her vehicle and airlifted by Sanford AirMed to a Fargo Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt and an air bag was deployed.
The F350 driver, Jose Mendosa-Sanchez, 21, Edgeley, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was charged with disregard stop sign and no driver's licence, the patrol said.
