Eldersburg, MD : Two hospitalizes Multi-vehicle crash in Eldersburg on Tuesday, July 8, 2014
A three-vehicle crash in Eldersburg Tuesday evening sent one to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and a second to Howard County General Hospital, according to police.
The collision occurred at approximately 5 p.m. near the intersection of Oklahoma Road and Md. 26, according to Cpl. George Noyes, of the Maryland State Police Westminster barrack.
According to Noyes, a white Dodge Charger was crossing Md. 26 from Oklahoma Road onto Ridge Road when a green Ford F250 pickup truck failed to stop and a red light and struck the Charger broadside.
The impact of the collision caused the pickup to strike a white Ford passenger car which was waiting at the light on Ridge Road to turn onto Md. 26, Noyes said.
The driver of the Charger was taken to Shock Trauma with back injuries. The driver of the pickup was taken to Howard County General as a precaution and the driver of the passenger car was uninjured, Noyes said.
The vehicles were cleared from the roadway as of 6 p.m., according to Noyes.
