Burke County, GA : Burke County deputy involved in crash; no injuries reported on Sunday, 16th December 2018

The Georgia State Patrol was called to investigate a crash in Burke County involving two Burke County Sheriff’s Office employees on Sunday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the accident occurred around 3:05 p.m. Cpl. Cory Barrs and Deputy Eric Madison were traveling southbound on Highway 56 North, near Cates Mead Road, when they noticed ATV’s traveling northbound on the highway.

Barrs attempted to turn around on the ATV’s, but a vehicle traveling northbound was unable to stop and struck the patrol vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. No injuries were reported.
