SWANTON, OH : Man killed in motorcycle crash on Ohio Turnpike on Monday, 15th July 2024

A man is dead after a crash on the Ohio Turnpike in Fulton County on Monday, authorities said.

65-year-old Daniel Kirst, of Akron, New York, died from the injuries he suffered in the single-vehicle motorcycle crash on the turnpike in Franklin Township on July 15, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.

OSHP said Kirst was driving a motorcycle westbound on the turnpike near State Route 66 when he changed lanes and lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn. Investigators said he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and died from his injuries at the scene.
