Yakima County, WA : Zillah man injured in a hit-and-run collision involving a semi-truck on I-82 near the highway 12 intersection early Tuesday morning, Nov 3, 2015

A Zillah man was injured in a hit-and-run collision involving a semi-truck early Tuesday morning, state patrol say.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) say 20-year-old Nathaneal Campos was driving west on I-82 near the highway 12 intersection when a semi-truck attempted to change lanes and hit his 2006 Lincoln Zephyr car on the passenger side.

Campos entered the median and stopped on the cable barrier. WSP says the person driving the semi that hit Campos left the scene.

Campos was taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained during the collision.

WSP say Campos was wearing a seatbelt, and it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
