Nashwauk, MN : Two people injured in a crash in Itasca County on Saturday morning, January 23, 2016
A crash on Saturday morning near Nashwauk sent two people to the hospital.
Richard E. Ladoux, 77, of Pengilly was driving a 2001 Ford Windstar northbound on Highway 169 at approximately 11:28 a.m. when he attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 65 where a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Keso-Kookie L. Oshkosh, 19, of Keshena, Wis., collided with the front of his car, according to a Minnesota State Patrol Report.
Oshkosh was driving her car south on Highway 169 when Ladoux attempted to cross southbound lanes resulting in the broadside crash. Both drivers were transported to Fairview Regional Medical Center by ambulance with a non life-threatening injuries.
Airbags in both vehicles deployed and drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Road conditions of the blacktop were dry. Both cars were totaled as a result of the crash. Itasca County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
