Vernon, CT : Man seriously injured after a car hit a tree on Fish and Game Road early Wednesday, May 11, 2016

A man was seriously injured and trapped in his car after a single-vehicle crash early this morning.

The car hit a tree on Fish and Game Road. The accident was reported at 1:44 a.m., according to Fire Chief William Call.

The driver required extrication and was taken by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital, Call said.

Fish and Game Road was reopened as of late this morning.
