Elizabethtown, KY: Canadian man killed his motorcycle crashed into the car on Sunday September 27 2015

A Canadian man was killed Sunday night when a car crossed over the median on Bluegrass Parkway, causing the man to crash his motorcycle into the car.Kentucky State Police said Michael Sinclair, 58, of Washago, Canada was traveling west on the parkway near the 8 mile marker when a Ford Focus driven by Joel Stegner, 20, of Fort Thomas, KY left the eastbound lanes and crossed the median. Sinclair was on his 2008 BMW motorcycle and was unable to avoid Stegner's vehicle. Sinclair slammed into the driver's side door on the Focus, causing extensive damage to both vehicles, police said.
Sinclair was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner. Stegner had to be removed from the Focusmechanically. He was flown to University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate the accident, which happened about 6 p.m. on Sunday.
