Cambridge, OH : A Cambridge motorist accused of leaving the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, September 10, 2017

A Cambridge motorist accused of leaving the scene of a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Beatty Avenue is facing a criminal charge for her alleged actions.

Police charged Jamie J. Siddle, 39, with one count of leaving the scene of an accident following the crash at 4:22 p.m.

None of the individuals involved in the accident reported being injured, according to a report by Cambridge police.

Officers said Siddle was driving a 2002 Jeep eastbound on Beatty Avenue when she tried to pass a 2007 Chrysler driven by Kristynn D.M. Bednarski, 23, Cambridge, and collided with the vehicle when Bednarski turned left into an alley.

The report indicated Siddle stopped at the scene and told Bednarski and a male passenger in Bednarski’s vehicle, Tevin M. Holt, 25, Cambridge, that she was going to turn around but then fled the scene.

Bednarski and Holt were reportedly able to provide officers with a description of the vehicle and Siddle’s clothing worn at the time of the accident.

Police called Siddle and she reportedly advised she was just leaving a Slaughter Hill Road residence and had not been on Beatty Avenue at the time of the accident. She told police she was en route to a South 23rd Street business at the time they called.

Officers said they located Siddle at the business and her clothing matched the description provided including the red and black “Jordan” shoes.

Police said Siddle then confessed to being on Beatty Avenue, but was walking and not driving a vehicle.

A Cambridge police officer reported seeing Siddle in the area where the crash occurred a short time before the collision. Police also noted transfer paint on Siddle’s vehicle that matched the Chrysler driven by Bednarski.

Siddle was taken into custody and transported to the Guernsey County Jail.

The Jeep was impounded by police.

The police report indicated both vehicles sustained moderate damage in the accident.

The accident remained under investigation by Cambridge police.
