Grand Junction,CO : 58-year-old woman dies in Glade Park ATV accident on may, wednesday 3rd 2017

A woman was killed in an accident involving an ATV on Wednesday night.

Initial reports indicated that a 58-year-old woman was involved in the fatal accident. The accident occurred in the eastern part of Glade Park.

An initial call requesting a CareFlight helicopter was canceled shortly after the initial report, which was made to 911 dispatch just before 6:30 p.m.

Mesa County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Megan Terlecky said the woman had died by the time emergency responders arrived on scene, and she confirmed that the agency is investigating the accident.

She said drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors at this time.

Additional information was unavailable late Wednesday and the victim’s name was not released, pending notification of relatives.
