Bradenton man, 21, dies in motorcycle crash

A 21-year-old Bradenton man was killed Thursday night when a car turned in front of the motorcycleand turned in front of him, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.The identity of the motorcyclist was not immediately available.The motorcycle rider was heading east on a 2003 Yamaha in the left lane on State Road 684, according to an FHP report.The driver of a 1996 Ford Explorer, heading west on SR 684, tried to make a left turn onto southbound 30th Street W., but collided with the motorcycle, the report states.The Explorer driver, Gilbert Burgos, 27, of Bradenton, was cited for violation of right of way for making a left turn in front of an approaching vehicle, the report states,
The motorcyclist was ejected and struck the hood and windshield of the Explorer, according to the report.No skidmarks were left on the roadway, the report adds.
