Patteson Drive was closed for several hours on Thursday evening, due to an accident involving a pedestrian.
The accident occurred shortly past Morrill Way, the turn into Evansdale Crossing and the WVU Student Rec Center. Monongalia County emergency services were alerted to the accident at 7:23 p.m.
Captain Matt McCabe, of the Morgantown Police Department, said that a vehicle hit a pedestrian, but he was unable to give any information on the pedestrian’s condition until her family had been alerted.
He estimated Patteson Drive would be closed until around 11 p.m.
MPD, Morgantown Fire Department, WVU Police Department and Mon Health EMS responded to the scene.
