Georgetown, OH : RULH senior injured in wreck in central Brown County on Monday night, July 25, 2016
A teen athlete was severely injured in a single vehicle accident on Monday night.
According to preliminary reports from Ohio State Highway Patrol, Tanner Hatfield, 19, was driving a vehicle on Oak Grove Road in central Brown County, Ohio at approximately 10:30 p.m., when the accident occurred.
He was taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital intensive care unit, OSHP officials said on Tuesday.
His injuries included back and pelvis injuries and burns to one of his legs.
Hatfield is entering his senior year at Ripley Union Lewis Huntington High School, and is an active member of the RULH track team, school officials said, expressing prayers for his recovery.
The accident remains under investigation by OSHP.
