Portland, OR : A motorcycle rider was involved in a crash on Tuesday, 8th May 2018

A motorcycle rider who was involved in a crash with a driver of a box truck on Tuesday afternoon died later that day from his injuries.

Portland officers responded to the crash on I-205 southbound at the Northeast Glisan Street exit just before 2 p.m. Tuesday. The motorcyclist was taken to a Portland hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The box truck driver remained at the scene to speak with investigators.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified by police, died hours later at the hospital. The case remains under investigation, police said, and will be presented to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office for review.
