Erie,PA: No charges filed in fatal Venango County accident on November, Sunday 19th 2017

No charges will be filed against a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist Sunday evening in Venango County.

Sandra Woodlock, 56, of Silver Spring, Maryland, was walking or riding her bicycle south on Cranberry Rockland Road near Hendershot Road just before 7 p.m. when she was struck by a pick-up truck driven by Gregory Exley, 68, of Kennerdell, state police said.

She was taken by ambulance to UPMC Northwest, where she was later pronounced dead.

Woodlock was wearing dark-colored clothing and her bicycle was not equipped with lights on the front or back, which are required for using on highways between sunset and sunrise, police said.
