Jefferson County, AL : 78-year-old man died Thursday morning in a crash just north of Pinson on May 1st 2014

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle crash.

Deputies were called to the 10000 block of Bradford-Trafford Road around 7:00 a.m. Thursday and discovered that a maroon colored Chevrolet Trailblazer had left the road and crashed into a fence.

The 78 year-old driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities believe the driver suffered a medical emergency just before the crash.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
