San Francisco , CA : 30 - Years old Bicyclist Critically injured in Crash after collision with fire truck on Saturday night , March 7th 2015

A San Francisco bicyclist is in critical condition after a collision with a fire truck.

City fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White tells the San Francisco Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1EZ1Ea4 ) that the male cyclist in his mid-30s was at San Francisco General Hospital on Saturday night with very serious head injuries.

The fire truck was returning to a station from a call and did not have flashing lights and sirens on when the collision occurred in the Tenderloin District.

The Police Department is investigating the crash and provided no immediate clues to what may have caused the crash.

The driver underwent routine drug and alcohol tests that came up negative.
