Maryland Man Dead After Amherst County Motorcycle Crash

State police are investigating a motorcycle accident that killed a Maryland man Sunday afternoon.The motorcyclist, Don Henry Harriman, 69, of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, died at the scene, state police say.The accident happened around 3:02 p.m. on Route 60, less than a mile of Route 602.Investigators say a 1998 Isuzu Amigo SUV was traveling east on Route 60 when it stopped to make a left turn. As the SUV was making the left turn, it crashed into a 1994 Honda Shadow motorcycle driven by Harriman.The driver of the SUV was not hurt in the accident. A passenger had a minor injury.Charges are pending, state police say.
