Deltona, FL : Man, 60, killed after being hit by truck while crossing Deltona road on Thursday, July 30, 2015

A 60-year-old man was killed after getting struck by a truck while trying to cross Lake Helen-Osteen Road in Deltona late Thursday, Volusia County authorities said.

The truck was traveling south on Lake Helen-Osteen Road near Capri Circle when Robert Boles walked into
the roadway and was struck, investigators said.

Boles, who lived in Deltona, was taken by ambulance to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, where
he was pronounced dead.

The two people in the truck were not injured.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said a preliminary investigation shows that the driver was not at fault.
