Columbus,OH : Woman in crash dies of injuries on March, Monday 19th 2018

A Whitehall woman died Monday night of injuries sustained from a head-on traffic crash last week in the Hilltop, Columbus police reported.

Jasmine Handon, 30, was a passenger in a car driven by DeAngelo Kirk, 31, of Columbus, that was eastbound on West Broad Street about 4:50 p.m. Thursday. Another vehicle, driven by Kenneth McCall, 22, of Lockbourne, was traveling west, police said.

As the vehicles approached the Wheatland Avenue intersection, they crashed head-on, police said.

Handon was taken to Mount Carmel West, where she died. She is the city’s 17th traffic-related fatality this year.

McCall also was taken to Mount Carmel West hospital. Kirk was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.

No information was available on McCall or Kirk. A police investigation is continuing.
