COLLIER COUNTY, FL : Man dead after crashing semi through I-75 guardrail into canal on Thursday, 2nd November 2023

A man died after crashing into a guardrail on I-75 and entering a canal early Friday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 12:49 a.m., a 67-year-old man was driving a semi hauling a trailer on I-75 near mile marker 82.

FHP states an unoccupied pickup truck from a previous crash was still blocking the right lane.

The front of the semi crashed into the front left of the pickup truck.
